New Service from Aidan Severs Consulting: Remote Curriculum Review Day
This is a service I've offered for some time, however, I have just realised I never advertised it on my website!
Just in time for the summer term, when thoughts turn to ensuring everything is ready for next year, I'm introducing remote curriculum review days. I'm introducing them at a much lower cost as compared to an in-person consultancy day, so it's well worth snapping these up before my June and July diary gets fully booked.

Monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum is a huge part of a senior leader's job in schools. However, when you've spent such a long time creating your curriculum documents, it's is often difficult to be critical of what you've produced. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes is needed to help school leaders with those last checks before the curriculum goes live.
A second pair of eyes will perceive your curriculum very differently to how you see it and will pick up on many positives that you as a school leader have normalised as you strive for further improvement. A critical friend, such as Aidan, might also notice areas where tweaks and developments might be made, prompting you to make those final changes before you roll the curriculum out to staff and pupils.
As an education consultant working largely with schools and organisations on curriculum, and as a leader in several schools, including primary schools and an all-through school, Aidan has had good experience of writing, reviewing and developing curricula.
Aidan knows that it is important to work as a partner and as a critical friend with leaders and teachers. He fosters a supportive relationship within which he provides constructive feedback.
Following a short phone call to discuss how you would like feedback to be provided (this could be a phone call, a written report, or comments on the documents themselves, for example), Aidan will remotely review the curriculum documents you send to him. Calling upon his expertise and familiarity with curriculum documentation, and assessing such things as coherence, continuity, coverage and consistency, as well as reviewing the balance of substantive, disciplinary and procedural knowledge, Aidan will carefully assess the suitability and readiness of the curriculum documents.
